dc.description The aim of this session is to provide a basic introduction to the prescribing of antibiotics as part of the independent and supplementary prescribing programme. It is aimed to provide an overview of the use of antibiotics, with emphasis on the safe use of these agents, and considering the underlying principles of choice, ethics, accountability and the consideration of antibiotic resistance. It is aimed for students for practitioners with basic knowledge and/or experience in this area of practice. en
